If you have a big family and looking or just looking for a vehicle that can seat a large number of people then consider the Expedition from Ford. It will use regenerative braking and when the auto comes to a halt the engine will be shut down in order to preserve energy. The auto will be equipped with a 15 kw motor which will power the engine.
What will set the new LaCrosse apart from the rest of the efficient cars is that it’s larger in size and easily seats five adults. The interior is luxurious and roomy; the backseats are particularly roomy. Ice blue ambient lighting is in place which lights up the cabin at night. The rich leather seats are comfortable and easy to sink into plus they are adjustable.
Standard features include the ability to enter without a key, a climate control system, a leather wrapped steering wheel. The buyer gets to select from three models CX, CXL and CXS. The upper level CXS trim offers sweet features such as a 11 speaker Harmon Kardon system, temperature controlled seats and rear parking assist.

Just because you need the practicality of a four door sedan does not mean you need to sacrifice a fun and sporty drive. The Ford Fusion received a makeover for 2010 and its much improved over last years model. One of the main external touch ups on the Fusion is its redesigned front grille and a more aggressive and edgier appearance. This is a family midsize sedan that’s lots of fun to drive and very driver oriented due to its fine handling on the road.
It’s possible to choose from various engines and trims. The base engine is a 2.5 Ltr 4 cylinder engine with 175 horsepower and 175 lb feet of torque. The unique aspect about the engine is that its one of the most powerful four cylinder engines on the market. The starting cost of the Fusion is in the $16k area and may increase depending on the options and trims. If you don’t want to sacrifice a fun and sporty drive but need a midsize sedan or family car, then the Fusion would be a great choice. The four time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ford GT40 has made its mark in this prestigious motor sport tradition. It was conceived as the ultimate nemesis of Ferrari, with the aim to usurp their undefeated dominance of motor racing for six years running.
The initials GT points to “Grand Tourer”, with 40 referring to its standing height of 40 inches, this is a car with its specs built around the race criteria. In contrast with the displaced Ferrari V12 engines standing at 3.0 or 4.0L, the GT40 relied on the displacement of the sturdier 4.7L and 7L V8 engines.
It was always Henry Ford’s intention to compete in the Le Mans with a Ford mobile ever since the early 60s. He was given an opportunity to purchase Ferrari, and consequently spent millions in auditing fees. After learning it will not be able to compete races under its own name, Ferrari pulled out in the late stage of the negotiation. This enraged Ford immensely. The racing division of Ford was given the order to create a machine with the ability to supersede Ferrari on the racetracks.
Even though Ford had a relationship with Lotus via the Indy 500 project, its executives believed Lotus wouldn’t have the manpower to become involved in the GT40 project. Therefore the opportunity went to Lola. Two Lola Mk VI chassis were used as they had previously used mid-mounted Ford V8 engines. The car was primarily conceived and built by Lola in the UK using a mixture of Ford parts and custom-developed parts.
The Nurburgring 1000km competition was the GT40′s first racing appearance, and while it remained in the second position early on in the race, a suspension failure forced it to drop out. The Le Mans event shortly after produced comparable outcomes for Ford’s 3 entries, but one of the cars did led the field from the second lap until it had to go into a pit stop .
The trial and error the team went through in the ’64 and ’65 entries gave Ford the right lessons, and in response they unleashed their 7L Mark II in the ’66 season. Much of Ford’s racing grandeur from this period may be attributed to its drivers Chris Amon and Bruce McLaren, both of them being New Zealanders. The Ford Motor Company has found popularity with their Transit Connect model in Europe. Now this cost-effective, mid-sized work van is available in the U.S. and it has begun to catch on. Thyssen Krupp Elevator, the largest producer of elevators in North America has begun replacing their large cargo vans and trucks for Transit Connects. Even though the Transit Connect has only been here a short while it seems to be catching on. Gas is quite pricey these days and who wants to drive a gas guzzler when it costs a ton to fill up? Not to mention the fact that autos with a high level of emissions do some serious damage to the environment and ozone layer. In times like these we all want an affordable car that is stylish and efficient. The 2012 Ford Focus has received an intense makeover and as a result it may just meet all of these qualifications. Ford has tightened up the suspension system, redesigned the chassis and added in an advanced cornering assist system which improves cornering.
The 2012 model also stands out thanks to all the cool technological advanced systems. You can control your music, navigation system and even make and place telephone calls by just using your voice.
